Debtors Manager

We’re looking for a Debtors Manager to oversee accounts receivable, drive effective debt collection strategies, and lead a high-performing debtors team to ensure healthy cash flow from retail partners. Requirements: • Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field • Professional qualification: CIMA, ACCA, or SAIPA (advantageous) • Minimum 5 years’ experience in debtors / accounts receivable management • At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role • Strong knowledge of credit control, debt recovery, and compliance legislation • Experience with accounting systems (SAGE or similar) Key Responsibilities: • Lead and optimise debt collection processes to meet collection targets • Develop, implement, and enforce credit and risk management policies • Assess retailer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits • Manage debtor ageing, cash flow forecasting, and risk reporting • Oversee resolution of billing and credit queries • Coach, manage, and develop the debtors team • Ensure compliance with NCA, POPIA, and other relevant legislation • Liaise with legal teams on debt recovery where required Working Conditions: • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Requires strong time management and prioritisation skills Salary: Competitive and market-related (experience and qualifications dependent) Ready to lead, optimise, and make an impact?
