We're hiring a Chief of Staff at Jacobs Counsel Law. The goal is for the position to be full-time & remote with competitive comp for the right person. Please share with someone you think we should talk to. You'd be the second person at the firm and involved in basically everything: client communications, matter management, business development, strategic planning, and managing the systems that power the firm. It's a non-traditional role that will assuredly be fast-paced and varied. We're looking for someone who uses AI genuinely and extensively, not as a resume bullet but as part of how they actually work every day. Beyond that, we want someone who takes initiative, is organized, writes well, and is the kind of person who sees what needs to happen and handles it before they have to be asked. Paralegal or legal operations experience is a plus, but what matters most is whether you can learn quickly and operate efficiently. The motto we live by is "play to win," and we want to hire someone for the team who will embody that. The ideal candidate is hungry & eager to learn that is comfortable owning their own tasks and workflows from day one. The future of professional services is going to massively change as AI continues to improve, and the people who figure that out early are going to have a massive advantage. You'd be at the forefront right now, in a live practice, across five areas of law. That foundation is likely worth more than most credentials you could pick up in the next two years. If this sounds like something you or someone in your network would be interested in, email us at intake@jacobscounsellaw.com. Send a short note on why you're interested, one thing you've built or automated using AI, and your resume. Feel free to keep it simple. Please share with anyone you think would be a good fit. Thanks!
