India’s AI + commerce layer is starting to get serious attention. GobbleCube has raised $15M in a Series A round led by Susquehanna Venture Capital, with participation from Info Edge Ventures and Kae Capital. At one level, this is another AI funding headline. At another, it’s a bet on how consumer brands will operate in a world dominated by marketplaces and quick commerce. Founded by former operators from Blinkit, GobbleCube is building what it calls an AI operating system for consumer brands. In simple terms, it replaces scattered dashboards with a unified layer that doesn’t just show insights, but helps brands make decisions across pricing, ads, inventory, and demand in real time. That’s where the timing gets interesting. India’s digital commerce ecosystem is expanding rapidly across marketplaces, quick commerce, and D2C brands. But with that scale comes complexity: Fragmented data. Faster decision cycles. Constant optimisation pressure. This is where GobbleCube fits in, turning data into action, not just reporting. The early signals are strong. The platform works with hundreds of brands, including large enterprises, and is integrating across multiple commerce and data platforms globally. Which means it’s not positioning itself as a tool. But as infrastructure. From an investor lens, this reflects a broader shift. AI in India is moving beyond hype into workflow ownership. Instead of just building models, startups are building systems that directly influence revenue. And in a market where consumer brands are becoming increasingly data-driven, the layer that drives decisions, not just insights, is where value gets captured. The $15 million will be invested in strengthening AI capabilities and expanding globally. But the more important question is: If every brand becomes a data company, Who owns the layer that actually runs it? GobbleCube is betting it can. Congratulations to Manas Gupta, Srikumar Nair, Nitesh Jindal, and the GobbleCube team on the raise.
