Alberta has confirmed that its regulated online gambling and sports betting market will officially launch on 13 July 2026, becoming Canada’s second open iGaming market after Ontario. The announcement was made by the office of Dale Nally, confirming that operators are now preparing to meet final technical and compliance requirements ahead of launch. The new framework allows private companies to offer online casino and sports betting services under provincial oversight. Registration is already open through the Alberta Gaming and Regulatory Commission, with market operations to be managed by the Alberta iGaming Corporation. Major operators including FanDuel and DraftKings are widely expected to enter the market.
