We're excited to announce that Šimon Vincze will be joining us at Discovery 2026! Šimon is Head of Sustainable & Safer Gambling at Casino Guru, where he is a passionate advocate for responsible gambling and player protection. He provides strategic guidance on player protection, steers the company towards current best practices, and actively seeks opportunities for Casino Guru to have a positive influence on the gambling industry. His work is dedicated to making gambling sustainable and safer for all involved parties, prioritizing legitimate entertainment with acknowledged risks for players while ensuring operators uphold their responsibilities. Šimon leads several groundbreaking initiatives that are reshaping the gambling landscape. Through the Global Self-Exclusion Initiative, he guides a dedicated team working to create an effective global self-exclusion program to support struggling players. Recognizing the shortcomings in existing tools, Šimon aspires to create a strong barrier against the allure of online gambling for those who need it most. As part of this Initiative, he is developing Self-Exclusion Standards in collaboration with the University of London. His latest initiative is the player protection rating for online casinos, which evaluates available responsible gambling tools and approaches to player protection. This rating system provides reliable information for players and insights into the prevalence and usage of different tools globally, while motivating operators to drive positive change in their offerings. At Discovery 2026, Šimon will join the session “Beyond Compliance: Leading Innovation and Excellence in Player Protection” on April 16, sharing insights from his work on global self-exclusion and industry education. As expectations for responsible play continue to rise, effective gambling-related harm reduction strategies include integrating player feedback, engaging stakeholders, and using data to inform decisions that reduce risk. In this session, panelists will explore how their organizations are moving beyond minimumstandards to embed excellence in player protection while strengthening transparency and accountability through innovative, data-driven, and community-informed tools.
